Have you ever had the chance to pet an elephant? Feels very weird!

Could not believe how close all the animals were today!

Here is Esther, Emily and Erin as penguins!

And here are the real penguins! They are so very cute!

Since I have not been to the Zoo in probably 15 years I was the biggest kid there today!!! Can't wait till my friends with little children ask me to go again!

House Project #3 "The Spare Room"

I would never show what the room REALLY looked like before I started my project. But anyone who has a spare room can probably just imagine.

I started by sanding down all the woodwork and then scrubbing the entire room from top to bottom with Mr. Clean.


It is now day three of my project and I have everything primed from top to bottom. Next I will be painting all the woodwork and then the ceiling and walls. My next post will be the finished room!!! So far Butch thinks I am doing very good for my first "Room Makeover" but I am a very slow painter. He also wished he would have taken a picture of me with the power tools in my hands and the dust mask on my face, but he just was not thinking fast enough.
Oh well, maybe next time.....

House Project #2 "The Finishing Touch"

We did a bathroom remodel but never finished the floor.

Here are the kick plates that were never put down. They require cutting, priming and painting.....

And here is the finished project after two years!!!

We will be, or should I say Butch will be, putting kick plates on the floors in the rest of the house as time goes by. I keep telling him one project at a time and since the doors are not done yet the kick plates are going to have to wait a short while.
